A Personal Call To Arms

Hello All!

After a very rough sixteen month long hiatus filled with life changes, tragedies and injury, I have returned to blogging–sort of.

As I stated in my last blog post of September, 2015, I’d started blogging in 2011 because I was told it’s what all writers who want to be successful do. Yeah, that didn’t work out so well for me. I spent more time on the blogging than I did on novel writing.

However, now that life has calmed down, for the moment, I am back at the keyboard, goals for the next five years written out, and ready to tackle this thing.

Writing is part of me. It’s as essential as being able to see beauty and hear my parakeets sing. As much as I tried to run away from it (out of fear), it hounded me down, tackled me and shacked me to it. Yes, there’s chaffing.

To those people out there who think what I’m doing is a waste of time, a hobby, or a fantasy and I should quit and get a real job, I say, you’re entitled to your opinions and I’m entitled not to listen.

To those very rare few who do honestly support me and are behind me, thank you. You’re my tribe and keep me encouraged to do this.

And to my Dad, who is resting in peace and looking down from Heaven. I am going to do this so that your faith in me will not be misplaced.

I’m launching into space to travel the galaxy. I’ll bring back lots of great stories for you.

Rise or fall, fail or succeed, I’m gonna do this. I’m going to pursue my dream. And if I don’t succeed, at least I can say I tried. Then, I will be able to pat myself on the back and stand proud.

**Keep an eye out for future blog posts addressed to Fellow Writers and additional announcements over the next 12 months.**

  1. I cannot tell you how happy I am to hear this. I have often hoped to see more or your writing, but of course understood why you were not doing so. Let me just say that I look forward to reading your works once more, to hearing your words in my head and seeing your visions – which struck me as unique and interesting.
